Personal Support Worker

The PSW contributes to the quality of life of an individual who live in a long term care facilities or in their own home. They promote the clients’ independence, dignity, social, emotional and physical well-being.

The PSW student will develop a wide variety of skills that emphasizes the value of their role. Activities for PSW include; providing personal care and hygiene, household and family management, meal preparation, assisting client with their medication and rehabilitation.

The program operates with in the guidelines of the regulating health professional act.
